Oh Boy....Song Lyrics That Deal With Every Situation

"Why can't you look off somewhere, when you catch me staring at you?"
~Jana Kramer~
It's especially hard when you have no idea whether it means anything at all, or if it's all just total coincidence! Or if it means something to you, but not to the other person. Why is it so confusing?
"There's more here than what we're seeing-a divine conspiracy, that you an an angel lovely would somehow fall for me!"
That's what I want... To know God was at the center of why we met and how the rest of the relationship goes! :)

That's all for now,

This Week In Review

This was a really good, eventful week. Lots of exciting things happened, and I've just been having a blast! The first couple days (Monday and Tuesday) were a little slow, but Wednesday it started picking up.

Monday/Tuesday:
It was basically the usual grocery shopping, getting homework done and not doing much but getting ready for the week.

This cat has become so lovable and friendly all of a sudden!
Flashback from last March!
Homework....Bleh!
Trying to eat a little healthier...
Ordered a piece of the Rivercourt from One Tree Hill!!!!! AHH :D
Wednesday:
I helped Mandy out in her classroom, which was fun as usual! I led a few reading groups, gave a Math test, made the Valentine's Day class list for cards and treats, and helped do a little origami with shapes. It's so cool getting to know different students each week better and better. Each time I've visited I've been able to spend more time with different kids, and they're all so adorable. Mandy's brother, Nick, is also visiting from out of state so him and their mom came to help out as well. He shared a little bit about his job and showed some money from the country he's been visiting. The kids were really excited and impressed with that!

One of the students gave me an Angry Birds sticker

Wednesday and Thursday were gorgeous days outside and the weather was perfect! So, I went bike riding, then I'd come home and just sit on my front porch. I listened to music, wrote, and just did a lot of thinking/daydreaming. As I sat there, I was so inspired by everything around me, and realized that you can gain so much perspective from those simple moments. I felt so much better about everything I was worried about at the time after just taking a "time out" from life. It makes you want to not be in such a hurry; to just slow down and notice all the beauty that's around.

"No matter what happens in life, be good to people. Being good to people is a wonderful legacy to leave behind."
~Taylor Swift~
Just what I needed
Thursday:
I had classes as usual on campus! Geography was really boring and long; we watched a video, he talked, and we took a quiz...fun, fun. In Minority Relations we went over some chapter study guides for our quiz on Tuesday (I'm really nervous about that, because we covered a lot of material). That afternoon was another gorgeous day, so I decided to go bike riding! My tire was flat, so I had to use my dad's which is way different from mine. I became adjusted quicker to it than I thought I would. It was so relaxing and rejuvenating.

The fountain at school
This popped into my head yesterday and I needed that!

Last night, there was a Creative Worship team meeting/dinner at church. It was so much fun getting to see everyone that I don't always get to talk to and just hang out. We had spaghetti and Olive Garden salad and breadsticks, and plenty of desserts to choose from. I ended up hanging around a little while longer with my friend, Makenzie after that in childcare, which wasn't bad at all. They had everything covered for the most part, so we ended up just sitting there (in case anyone needed anything), watching videos on YouTube of Jersey Shore and talking a lot! ;)
Later, we met up with the rest of the gang for the midnight showing of The Vow! We were so excited that we were first in "line", which only lasted about 15 minutes because we turned out to be the only ones. They let us in earlier, so we were able to get perfect seats in the middle of the theater. We had so much fun laughing, making fun of each other and talking, waiting for the movie to start. It was really cute, but I don't know if it was quite as good as I thought it would be. It was just different! By the time the movie ended (Close to 2), we were all pretty wiped out. Makenzie dropped me off, and I went straight to bed!

Friday:
Today, I ran some errands and had lunch with my mom! We went to the bank, Target, and the car wash (exciting right?) Seriously, it was fun though :) I also helped set up a little at our church for the Valentine's dance awhile. I came home, got ready, and it was back to the church for the actual thing. I'll blog about that later, since that's "officially" where the weekend starts!
Finishing up last minute Film homework first thing this morning!
Lunch
It has that affect on all of us, Lucy!

What I bought at Target! So excited to hear the real story of "The Vow"

Taylor Swift Valentine card our friend sent us! :) So sweet!

I've got a busy weekend ahead of me-helping my photographer friend out at a wedding, Valentine's Day party with the girls, singing at church, lunch with family friends and Bible study. Phew! I have a feeling great things are in store, though. I'm excited for all of it-so bring it on!

That's all for now,

Love Is A Tricky Thing

"I'm afraid once your heart is involved it all comes out in moron."
~Lorelai Gilmore~

Unfortunately, it's true. Why is it that when we like someone our heads and our hearts can't seem to communicate with one another? We know what we're feeling, and we know what we want to say, but for reasons unknown to us it doesn't come out that way to the opposite sex.

I guess it's true when they say love makes people do crazy things...it's unexplainable and incomprehensible unless you know what falling in love feels like, and even then you have no control over it. Maybe it's another reason the heart and mind can't tell the difference when it comes to love.

One minute our heart is saying "he's the one... It's love," and our mind is trying to talk us out of it. Or the next minute our mind is telling us it's not going to work logically, but the heart wants what it wants. It's hard to say which is which at times, and that's where the tricky part comes in.

Sometimes I guess you have to go through a few wrong ones before you find the right one. I've definitely been wrong a time or two before, but I know that when the right one comes I'll just know. At least that's what they say anyway, and I believe it's true. Maybe I'm on the right track, maybe I'm not... But for the moment, it sure feels great falling. And this time it doesn't feel like I'm just going for an idea!

Chillin In A Coffeehouse

Chillin In A Coffeehouse

I'd like to go to a random coffeehouse in a cool city someday; listen to music, write, and just people watch. I think it would be really fun and inspiring.

Valentine's Day Is A-Comin'

Valentine's Day Is A-Comin'

Alright, as much as I'd like to be bitter towards the holiday and say it's cheesy and lame (which it kind of is)...I'm also really excited about it, despite not having a Valentine once again this year! I just mainly think it's a fun time to get creative, dress up and remember what love is all about.
