This weekend

  • Thursday was our first meeting for Christmas choir practice at church, which was a lot of fun. It was so good seeing so many new choir members and a lot of regulars and friends. We only went through one song, which was for this weekend. Christmas practice won't officially start until another couple weeks or so. It's going to be a wonderful time, and I can't wait to see what God has in store for us.
  • Friday, I went to my speech class, then my mom and I went to LA for the Hilary Duff book signing at The Grove. We hung out for awhile: looked at Anthropologie, Nordstrom, and even American Girl. It was a really nice day, so we sat down at a table in front of Nordstrom, and I picked us up a Jamba Juice; refreshing. We then proceeded to wait a good couple hours in line waiting for Hilary to get there, but it was worth it. Hilary is so sweet; she personalized all of our books, posed for pictures, and was taking time to talk with each person. She's one person I definitely get starstruck around. Usually, I can carry on a conversation with no problem, but with Hilary, it's as if I went back in time to when I was ten years old, and wasn't quite as outgoing. I did ask her when she was planning on coming out with any new music or movies, and she said she should have one out sometime next year. :D so yay!

  • Yesterday (Saturday), we went to dinner with my family for my grandpa's 81st birthday at Tahoe Joes, and we all came back to our house for cake and ice cream. It was a lot of fun; there's nothing like being with the ones you love most. My uncles, my dad, my cousin and I also went outside for a few minutes to check out the space station that was supposed to be easily seen, and it was!
