Catalyst Convention!
I just wanted to say that I won't be on much this week! I'm trying to get last minute packing and responsibilities out of the way before I leave for Irvine,CA on Wednesday! It's for a convention called Catalyst that I'm going to with my church for leaders and people that want to be involved in ministry. It's going to be a really amazing time.
But until then, I really hate the whole packing process and getting everything ready. I also realized that I'm not used to packing lightly. I'm used to having my own space being an only child, and there are usually only three of us when my parents and I go anywhere anyway so that means I bring just about everything I own. The more trips that I've been going on with school and friends, I've realized how much I really do bring, and how I've gotten so set in my ways and used to things going my way, I guess. It has been great dealing with so many other people that are basically like my siblings and learning how the world does NOT revolve around me. At least I'm finding out a lot about myself, right?

Sunday
Most of my Sunday's are typically the same: church, lunch, and a little relaxation with family or friends. This one was no different. But, I'm starting to enjoy Sunday's a lot more because I don't have that dread of Monday classes following me throughout the day. I went to church and my announcement debut (I heard it was a hit, which makes us feel really good). And it was in that moment that I started to realize how being an actor in Hollywood can really mess a person up. I'm in no way saying that this was that big or getting the big head or anything, but all of a sudden I started second guessing what I did or how was I going to look, and all these things about myself just because a few people were going to see it. I can only imagine these stars that have to see themselves on huge screens or get picked apart when they don't look their best or little nit-picky things the media likes to tear them down for on the red carpet or on a magazine cover. You really do have to just tune it out or you'll drive yourself crazy. It's not about looks; focus on your talent and what you love doing and the rest won't matter. After service, I also got a chance to catch up with some friends after the service. It's weird, it used to be my parents doing that after church while I was waiting for them but now it's reversed. We went to a local Mexican restaurant, Mexicali, which was SO good, and it was all decorated for Spring/Summer. Each holiday or season, they decorate the front table when you walk in according to what the next occasion is.
It was a gorgeous afternoon. The weather is definitely warming up and the sky could not get any bluer really. I went to Target with my parents, and got the new Lauren Conrad book that just happened to be signed. I'm a huge fan of Lauren Conrad from Laguna, The Hills, her clothing, and of course, the books. She's a franchise now and such a smart business woman. I was so excited about this!
Last night, I went out to dinner with the girls at Panera. It's really the perfect place for catching up. We sat out on the patio, ate, talked, and started planning for Catalyst THIS WEEK! In some ways I can't believe it's here already, but in others it seems like we've been talking about it forever and it's finally here. It's going to be life changing in so many ways...I can already feel it! AHHHHHH :D We stayed a little longer than we were probably supposed to, after Panera had closed, until one of the worker's came out and needed the cushions at our table. So, we moved the party over to Yogurtland. By that time, we were all pretty much freezing and SO full, so we decided to call it a night. Febe drove me home, and we had a nice little chat about guys and relationships. Febe's really wise when it comes to that stuff! It's like she just knows what to say, without knowing what I needed to hear. She's gonna make an incredible Pastor someday.

Anywhoooo, that's all for now. I have a lot that I should be doing right now, and this is probably not one of those things ;).
Talk to you soon,

Saturday In LA
Saturday , I went to LA with my parents and aunt! I woke up, got ready and as soon as my dad got home, off we went.
We had lunch at WoodRanch BBQ and did a little shopping in Valencia beforehand, because we couldn't wait that long to eat. I couldn't believe that on our way down there it had actually snowed the night before. Mountains and the side of the highway was covered. It was a gorgeous day in LA; clear, sunny and a cool breeze was in the air. We went to The Wonder Years house/neighborhood to show my aunt, and it was a total Wonder Years type of day. I really wish I would've had my bike. Someday, if I ever live in LA, I'd like to live in that area, because it's like the kind of perfect neighborhood people only write about and you don't think can really exist. Well, it does. We still had time after that, so we went to Griffith Observatory, which is one of my favorite places to go. If I lived in the city, I would definitely be going there daily just to think and write. There are a lot of people, because it's a big tourist attraction, but it has one of the best views of the city. We walked through the planetarium a bit, and went out on the deck to check out the view. You could see all of the downtown buildings, out towards Santa Monica and even the Staples Center and Dodger Stadi

I felt like I was in a scene from The Hills...HAHAH. My mom just gave me a look like uh, yeah ok. |
After Griffith, we headed over to Dodger Stadium. We have passes that can get us onto any level of the stadium now, so we thought we'd do some exploring around and see where our seats will be in a few weeks. We grabbed a pretzel and something to drink and decided we'd start heading up to our seats, but we ended up in one of the stores instead. Well, we decided we'd sit on that level until someone came to redeem them or they kicked us out...neither happened, so we had some really great seats. I had a blast hanging out with my family and of course the fact that the DODGERS WON! They are seriously on a roll right now, and I hope that doesn't jinx us.
I love when there's a proposal during the kiss cam, and that night there was. That's seriously how I want to be proposed to. There's just something that's so romantic about baseball, and being in the heart of LA. It's something cute! So, I guess whoever I marry better be a Dodger fan ;). One of my best friends said she's gonna talk to "the guy" (whoever he may be), someday when we start getting serious. I love her so much for that!
