Life's Too Short To Be Anything But Happy
Life is a complex thing. One minute, everything's going great and we couldn't be happier. We want to lose ourselves in that moment, and forget about everything else, because it's so perfect, and nothing will probably ever make us feel that way again. Then there are others when we'd give anything to just get out; to be happy again, but we can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Life's gonna throw some sticky situations in your path, and it'll give you every reason to want to give up and to say that things will never get better, but let me just say...don't! They will get better, and things will change. You just have to want it and believe things can do just what everyone's saying can't happen. Beat the odds and statistics.
The sun will shine again, and you can make it through whatever situation you may be facing. Happiness may be temporary, but if that's the case, then so is the pain. Just remember to smile through the pain, laugh at your mistakes, and never hold onto anything for too long. Realize how short life is, and enjoy every minute of it, even the dark times. They make us who we are, and usually it makes us stronger when we come out on the other side. It's okay to cry, be angry, feel sad, feel mad...but in the bigger scheme of things, do you really want to live like that the rest of your life? No.
I've been watching One Tree Hill a lot lately, and it's so insightful about life, because the characters aren't just characters...they represent people we know and situations we've faced at one point or another, or probably will at some point in our lifetime. We can all relate to the struggles they've gone through, and that's why so many people connect with it. So, I thought I'd share a couple quotes that go along with what I'm trying to say:
"Learn to let go of the past. Recognize that every day won't be sunny, and when you find yourself lost in the darkness of despair, remember it's only in the darkness of night you can see the stars and those stars will lead you back home. So don't be afraid to make mistakes, stumble, and fall, because most of the time, the greatest rewards come from doing the things that scare you the most. Maybe you'll get everything you wish for, maybe you'll get more than you ever could've imagined. Who knows where life will take you? The road is long and in the end, the journey is the destination." ~Whitey~
"Be not afraid of life, believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact."~Lucas quoting Henry Wadsworth Longfellow~
