Places I'd Still Like To Visit In LA

If you know anything about me, you know much I love the City of Angels. I don't always like what it represents when it comes to the industry, but it's a gorgeous city, and there is so much to see. I'm down there all the time, but it seems that we tend to go to the same places whenever we visit, and the older I get....I want to explore! I thought I'd make a list of some of the things I'd still like to give a try in the very near future:

  1. Pinz Bowling Alley- I've been inside several times while eating at Jerry's Deli, but I've never actually bowled there, so that has always been on my list of things to do. It also wouldn't hurt to run into Nick Jonas who used to be there quite frequently.
  2. Huntington Library- I've never been near the Huntington Library, but I've seen pictures of it and I've heard it's gorgeous. Not only is it a library, it's a botanical garden area with beautiful scenery! It's not exactly something you would picture in LA, but sounds like a nice escape.
  3. The Getty Museum-My parents and I have been talking about going to the Getty for years, but we've just never made it out there. It would be an incredible view of the city, though.
  4. LACMA- The LA Museum of art has been featured in several films, and has a lot of cool interactive exhibits, and just looks like a neat place to lose track of time. I also wouldn't mind running into Shay Mitchell (Pretty Little Liars) who seems to be there quite frequently.
  5. Hollywood Bowl- I can't tell you how many times we've been by this establishment on our various trips down to the Hollywood area, but yet we've still never been inside for a show. Mainly because it's SO expensive for concerts or any other shows that take place, but WOW! I can imagine the sound out there, as well as the atmosphere. Perfect for a summer night, that's for sure!
  6. Urth Cafe-I've always wanted to try this cafe, because it just seems like one of those chic little places to check out when you're in that neck of the woods.
  7. Lemonade- Another restaurant I've wanted to try for the same reason and that they have healthier items on the menu.
  8. Farmer's Market- I've been to the Farmer's Market at The Grove, but it's very different from the street style ones that set up all over town on Sunday's. I've heard about one close to Hollywood Blvd, and I've heard they have a lot of great fruits and veggies to choose from, as well as things like caramel apples and the like. I can't think of a better way to spend a Sunday than just browsing around.
I'm sure there are plenty of other places I could think of, but these are the main focus at the moment. If you have any suggestions or have a list similar to this one, let me know on Twitter or in the comments! I'd love to hear from you :)

That's all for now,

Places I'd Like To Travel To

The last one of these I did, I forgot to include a couple key places that I've been wanting to go for quite some time.

Denver
I've been to Denver once before when my aunt and uncle lived there years ago! But, I was so young I don't remember much about it. My friend (and pen pal) Steph visits there a lot and is a HUGE Bronco's fan, and loves it there. She talks about it all the time and how wonderful it is, and I'd like to see it again, because from everything I've seen and heard it is gorgeous.

North/South Carolina
Well, I'm sure it's no surprise as to why I'd like to go back to North Carolina now (cough *One Tree Hill* cough, even though they're done filming there). But, I've always wanted to go! There seems to be something so romantic and magical about it, because just about every Nicholas Sparks story takes place there. I love that it's a mixture of country/beach lifestyle; you get the best of both worlds. Now that I have family in South Carolina, I feel like it gives me an excuse to go back there. I'm so unbelievably excited for the day that I will finally get to visit them and they can show me all of their favorite places :) YAY!

That's all for now,

Travel-Places I'd Like To See

I'd really start like to start posting more about travel! Whether it's places I want to go, places I've been, places I've seen on TV (restaurants, shops, beaches, etc.) that would be fun to try out and everything in between. Lately, I've really felt the need to travel; I want to see the world through different eyes rather than just my own and to gain a new perspective and understanding. There are so many beautiful places to see in the world and I'd love to experience it! Here are the main places I'd like to visit someday :)
Australia

London

Paris

Italy

 New York

Connecticut (It's a Gilmore Girls thing)

 Texas

Washington D.C (again...I'd like to just explore on my own this time rather than with the school)

"Save Me San Francisco..."

San Francisco is, and has always been, one of my favorite places to visit. There's so much to see and do; it has a creative energy, and it's a romantic city.

So many TV shows have been inspired by the city, including 90s hits, Full House and Party of Five. Full House is probably what sparked my love for it, before I'd ever even been. My mom kept telling me, "You're not gonna see DJ or Stephanie or any of them hanging out around town, they film that in LA..." I'd tell her I knew that, but in the back of my mind, I kept waiting to see them on Fisherman's Wharf. Let me tell ya, it never happened. I still had fun anyway! There have also been movies filmed in the city, such as, Just Like Heaven, The Wedding Planner, and Princess Diaries.

My favorite places to visit are probably The Golden Gate Bridge (of course), Coit Tower, Union Square, Giants Stadium (though I am a Dodger fan, they have one of the most beautiful ballparks) and Alamo Square Park. Some of my greatest memories come from San Francisco, because there's just something about the city that takes you away from your worries! I miss it, and can't wait until our next trip back!
