Girls, We Have To Believe This!

"Sometimes we're so focused on finding our happy ending we don't learn how to read the signs. How to tell the ones who want us from the ones who don't. Maybe the ending is just moving on. Or maybe the happy ending is this: knowing after all the unreturned phone calls and broken hearts, through the blunders and misread signals, through all the pain and embarrassment...you never gave up hope."

It's so easy to get caught up in the daydream of it all: the idea of having that special someone, the fairytale ending, and everything we've ever seen in chick flicks. Sometimes it doesn't even matter to us who the guy is, it's just about what we'll get from it. So, we end up writing the ending, before we really take a step back and realize that all along the guy that seemed so perfect on paper was not the one for us. And someday, after all of those misses, we'll find our hit. We'll find the guy that was meant just for us. Through it all, we can't give up hope. Hold onto the idea that somewhere in the future you will find your happy ending and everything you went through will make sense, because it led you to that one special moment where everything changed.

There's A One Tree Hill Quote For Everything

Mark Schwann is one of those rare TV geniuses that has a vision and knows exactly what he wants to do when he gets an idea for something, and he also has a way with the words. That's something that drew me into the show. Even before I'd started watching One Tree Hill, I'd see all these quotes that were so profound and that I actually related to. I remember following One Tree Hill quotes on Twitter long before I got into it, and "favorite"-ing just about everything I saw. In fact, in the first episode (All Tomorrow's Parties) that really got me into the show, I knew one of the quotes by heart because it had become one that always stuck with me at important moments in my life. So here are a few, though I'm sure I'll be posting more and duplicates of some in the very near future.

THIS.
"George Bernard Shaw once wrote, 'There are two tragedies in life: One is to lose your hearts desire and the other is to gain it.' Clearly, Shaw had his heart broken once or twice." ~Brooke

"This year I got everything I wanted and everything I wished for. But, in a way...I lost it even more." ~Haley

"Shaw was right. As we strain to grasp the things we desire, the things we think will make our lives better: money, popularity, fame...we ignore what truly matters: the simple things like friendship, family, love. The things we probably already had." ~Lucas

"Brooke Davis is gonna change the world someday, and I'm not even sure she knows it!" ~Brooke reading out of Lucas' book, An Unkindness of Ravens

"If you could go back and change just one thing about your life, would you? And if you did, would that change ultimately break your heart or the heart of another? Would you choose an entirely different path? Or would you change just one thing? Just one moment...just one moment that you always wanted back."

"Our biggest regrets are not for things we did--but for the things we didn't do. Things we didn't say that could've saved someone we cared about."

Cutesy Love Quotes

"People are so cynical towards falling in love, because it really is everything it's cracked up to be."

"A guy out there was meant to be the love of your life, your best friend, your soul mate, the one you can tell your dreams to! He'll brush the hair out of your eyes, send you flowers when you least expect it. He'll stare at you during the movies even though he paid 8$ to see it. He'll call to say goodnight or just cause he is missing you. He'll look in your eyes and tell you you're the most beautiful girl in the world, and for the first time in your life, you'll believe it." ~Nicholas Sparks~ THIS.

"The thing about falling in love is if you pick the right person you never have to hit the ground."

"Some people act like they don't need love, like it's an ego thing, but it's not ego, it's fear of being hurt."

"A heartbreak is a blessing from God. It's just his way of letting you realize he saved you from the wrong one."

"An open heart doesn't make you vulnerable to intruders; it makes you vulnerable because you know you can survive. You can let go of what is upsetting, really hurtful, really tough, and allow something beautiful and new to enter. If your heart is open, it can never stay broken."

"He's not your prince charming if he doesn't make sure you know that you're his princess." ~Demi Lovato~

I used to be really worried about the future and finding the one. But, the moment I gave it over to God, and I mean really gave it over to Him...I had a sense of peace. Everything is going to work out in His timing, and I don't have to have everything figured out. And that's the biggest load off; Now I can really enjoy the ride. I know whoever the guy is is going to be the one God has sent just for me; he will love me and protect me, and won't do anything to hurt me. ~Me~

Quote

“I truly believe that deep down every man wants to feel like a warrior and every woman wants to feel like a princess. Our feminine hearts were meant to be vulnerable and protected. A real man will want a woman who is soft and vulnerable, after all, how can a guy be a warrior if the princess is defending herself? Men were made to defend. You deserve to be pursued (contrary to everything you may read or hear about the “modern woman”). Stand up for yourself and be strong and be a pioneer and be brave, but don’t lose your femininity in that. Don’t lose your ability to be vulnerable, because vulnerability is beautiful. You are a rare gem, precious and deeply loved. You don’t have to advertise yourself or convince guys that you are worth dating. If a guy needs convincing, he’s not the one for you. The man who is right for you will be able to see past any “shyness” (which he will think is wonderful, by the way), and he’ll fall in love. Meanwhile, don’t let your identity be defined by whether or not guys like you. KNOW the truth, BELIEVE it, even when you’re not “feeling” it, and the right one will come along when you least expect it! After all, wouldn’t you rather be surprised?” -Bethany Joy

THIS. Love it!

Quotes I've Found From Twitter

I love quotes, and who doesn't really? I mean, a short phrase or saying that says exactly what you've been feeling or thinking is just an incredible feeling. It's a lot like finding that song on the radio you relate to that just tugs at your heart strings immediately. I follow a lot of quote Twitter accounts, and if I get bored sometimes I start looking some up from my favorite TV shows and celebrities. I thought I'd share a few that are kind of personal to me!
  • "Forget what hurt you in the past, but never forget what it taught you."
  • "Our biggest regrets are not for things we did...but the things we didn't do."
  • "Once you lose yourself, you have two choices:find the person you used to be...or lose that person completely."
  • "There's a difference between giving up and knowing when you've had enough."
  • "Have you ever wondered which hurts the most: saying something you wish you hadn't or saying nothing and wishing you had."
  • "It seems that until I can find someone else who'll love me, I can't move on from the only one who ever has."
  • "One of the hardest things in life to admit is that someone you care about has changed or maybe you never really knew them at all."
  • "Your past doesn't define your future."
  • "Don't marry a man unless you would be proud to have a son exactly like him."
There are way more I could've posted, but these are the main ones.
