5 Reasons That Yesterday Rocked My Socks Off (and also one of the longest blogs I'll probably ever write...PHEW)

"These are the moments, I thank God that I'm alive,
These are the moments, I'll remember all my life!"

This week, my dad's had some time off and it has been a wonderful time being able to have him around during the week, because that rarely happens. He works so much and hardly ever gets to take a vacation, but he was able to this week. We've been doing little things around the house and taking care of things that need to be done, and yesterday, we went to LA for the day, which honestly could not have been a better day...Unless, I would have casually bumped into someone like Sophia Bush...But, you know what I mean.

1. We took a tour of Warner Brothers Studios, and it doesn't matter how many times I've done it, I'm still so fascinated by the fast pace life of everyone putting their creative juices together to make something really magical in TV land...Or movie land! Every time you go is a little bit different than the last, whether it's stories and experiences your guide can offer or visiting different locations that weren't available last time due to filming.

At the beginning of the tour, they always ask for favorite shows of everyone on the tram. My mom and I told them Gilmore Girls and Pretty Little Liars, so our tour guide was great about spotting out places that had been used on those shows, and of course, many other famous locations as we went. Although, I felt like because we had been on the tour so many times, I could have given the tour or quickly told my parents other things we'd seen in the past, judging by the area we were in. We drove around the "New York" backlot complete with alley's, apartments, and even the subway station, or at least a facade that looks like it leads to one. It's pretty realistic from the idea of New York I have in my head (I've never been to the real thing...So the one in my mind will have to do for now!)
Hollis College (used on Pretty Little Liars)
We made a few turns, driving past the commissary that the Warner Brothers cast and crew can eat at for lunch, and was also used in an episode of Gilmore Girls when April and Luke go on a field trip with her school. After a few minutes of driving, we ended up in "the jungle" section of the lot. Before pulling into the long driveway, we saw several set walls on a truck for Hart of Dixie, as well as George's boat. We had been to parts of the jungle before, but because of Pretty Little Liars and Hart of Dixie are using new sets in that area, I was really excited to explore different parts of it. There's a cabin in the back that has been used on several occasions for Pretty Little Liars and is also the Rammer Jammer on Hart of Dixie. It's such a pretty area. I think if I worked on the lot, I'd sneak over there just for the shade.

Jason and Ali's house from PLL!

As we left the jungle, we turned onto a street lined with cute little houses that looked like something out of a movie, which is fitting, because we WERE on a movie lot. But, the funny thing is that they aren't houses at all, but they're working offices for production, casting and writing, which is where a lot of the meat of the show and magic really takes place. I love the fact that Warner Brothers uses EVERYTHING on the lot, whether it's a random tree or a pretty building. All of the sets are so versatile for whatever they need.

Christopher's house (Gilmore Girls), Hanna's house (Pretty Little Liars) and also the writing office of Friends all 10 seasons.
I believe this was the PLL writing office??
We pulled around and ended up in the "midwest", which is a small town setting that can be used as anywhere, USA. Also known as my favorite part of the lot, because two of my favorite shows have used it as a big portion of their backdrop, which would be Stars Hollow, CT and Rosewood, PA. We parked the tram for a few minutes and were able to wander around the streets for a bit. So, of course, I snapped several selfies wherever the opportunity presented itself-past store fronts, Rosewood High, Rosewood City Hall, the Growing Pains house, and of course, a staple in town, the church. I've been in the town square so many times, it's really starting to feel like a real functioning town...Ah, if only. We walked down another side street and into the house of Sookie St. James (Gilmore Girls), where we observed how the inside of a TV house worked and how different it is, judging by the ceiling, fake wood flooring and other features that just wouldn't work while filming. We walked around to the back porch, and suddenly we were on the steps of Lorelai and Rory's house. On the last tour we took there a couple years ago, they told us how the Gilmore and Sookie's house were connected, but it was cool actually being able to walk right through it. We had several minutes looking around the yard, and I just had to be the last one finishing taking pictures, because I'd never gotten a picture in front of Babette's house...oops! That was a little awkward as everyone stared, waiting to walk back out. YOLO! So, after we walked back out to the front and completing a circle around "town", we got back on the cart and continued our
tour.

The back of the PLL church!
We drove past the strip of sound stages and important looking people on mission, and went inside the automobile museum. It has a range of famous cars from Get Smart, Scooby Doo, and Chuck to Harry Potter and the Batmobiles. We glanced around, but didn't take many pictures this time around and opted out of the free photo, since we aren't Potterheads. Then, we went into the prop house, which is filled with thousands of artifacts and memorabilia from shows and movies over the years. The coolest thing about it is that you don't have to work on the lot or even be in the industry to rent props from the warehouse...So, if you want to throw a party and have some cool items to impress your guests, all you have to bring is the money! ;) My favorite part of that portion of the tour is always the famous Friends couch and Central Perk set. I love that they've preserved everything and it has stayed the same since the show went off the air in 2004, except for the guitar that Phoebe played in the coffee shop, because Lisa Kudrow took that home with her when they wrapped the series.

Pretty Little Liars was filming around the area at a soundstage nearby us, but we never saw anyone, unfortunately, which was a bummer! I kept my eyes peeled, though. I did see a prop full of trucks outside setting some things up and taking things out; probably things they were using for those certain scenes being filmed in stage 7.
We hopped back on the cart, and stopped at one of the sound stages, which happened to be for the set of Two Broke Girls. I've never seen the show, but I always love getting to see how different shows' setup works and to hear stories of how they do things, because each one is different.
At the end of the tour, they let us wander through another museum filled with costumes and props from some of their most popular shows and movies, including my favorites: Gilmore Girls, The Vampire Diaries and One Tree Hill, so I was pretty much freaking out and wishing they would let us take pictures, but security was way too tight to even think about sneaking it. There were also costumes from Gatsby, Crazy/Stupid Love, Batman, Smallville, The Big Bang Theory, and more.
After we wrapped up the tour, we drove past some of the sets/stages we had passed earlier and back across the street to the gift store/check in area.

2. After WB, I wanted to drive by Paramount Studios to see if they had done anything in honor of Cory Monteith's passing, so we did. There was a small area where you could see fans had left cards, posters, and flowers, but the thing that hurt to see the most was the Glee foam finger. I just remember taking the tour a couple years ago and hearing what a great guy he was from the tour guide and me really wishing that they had been filming that day so I could've ran into him. It definitely made it more real. I'm not gonna lie, it has really been weighing heavily on my heart and mind this week, and judging by the social media...I'm not the only one.

3. By that time, we were starving for lunch, so we decided to eat at Mel's Diner, because it has been on my list of "places to try in LA" for quite some time now. It wasn't busy, so we got right in. Obviously, it's a diner, so it has things like sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, etc. I had a turkey melt, which was pretty good, just a little dry...and it came with potato salad, which was delicious; had a bit of a kick with bell peppers and other seasonings. SO GOOD!

4. After we finished eating, we had several hours to kill, so my dad suggested Runyon Canyon. I was all for that, but the downside is that we never seemed to be dressed for the occasion, so we always look a little out of place, but it was still just as fun. We didn't walk as far as we did last time, but we took in the sunshine and soaked up the gorgeous view of the city for a few minutes. I also loved the fact that it wasn't busy either, so there was room to spread out a little more.

5. After spending some time in the heat, I was quickly crashing and dying for some sugar. We didn't have anything else in mind, so we just decided to get to The Grove a little earlier. After spending so much time there after American Idol and signings, I thought I'd get a little bored, but there's always something to do there. First, we walked across the street to get VIP passes for the Sara Evans concert, then got yogurt at Pinkberry, which is seriously the best (well, at least tied with Sweet Cece's)! It was tasty and refreshing; we sat at the tables and relaxed for a few minutes, then walked around to look at a few stores. I spent awhile in Barnes and Noble...I seriously just love books! I ended up buying a writer's devotional, which I'm really excited about trying out and practicing my writing techniques.
We also took a little ride on the trolley, which we'd never done before; always fun for people watching!

Around 6:30, we checked in at the table in front of the stage; got our wristbands and got FRONT ROW to see Love'N'Theft and Sara Evans...and did I mention it was FREE?! Cause it was. Does it get any better than that? An announcer came out and talked to the crowd a little to get everyone warmed up and music was playing over the loudspeakers. We got settled in, and pretty soon the show started up. Love'N'Theft took the stage with a short acoustic set, which seemed to really get the crowd singing along and having a great time. They sang their radio hits and a couple new songs that I'm really digging! The weather was perfect and it was a really great night for good music and good company. I didn't have a care in the world.
Finally, Sara came out and I was really excited! She sang just about all of my favorite songs and did a few covers on some of my favorite songs at the moment, including, "When I Was Your Man," "Just Give Me A Reason" and "Everybody Talks." I mean, she seriously can sing anything! I'm really glad she has new music coming out, because she totally deserves to be up for some of those awards! Great entertainer, incredible singer, and seriously good music. She sings with such emotion and heart in her voice too. "A Little Bit Stronger" definitely almost had me in tears. It was so cute to see her daughters off to the side, singing along and copying her every move. Maybe we'll see them in the music biz someday! OH! I also can't forget the fact that Vince Vaughn was not too far away from us at the concert...I'm not a huge fan of his at all, really, but you never know who you're going to see around there. I only saw him for the first song or two, and then I think he took off.
When the concert ended, we went up to the stage and I was able to get the set list! I was super happy about that and have now added it to the back of my door with autographs and passes.

We drove home after that, grabbing food at Jack-In-The-Box and listening to Sara Evans in the car! I was having some crazy emotions, because a couple songs made me quietly tear up again as I sang along to every word. It had me thinking a lot about life and some of the events that have taken place this week and how I want to really live. I'm tired of taking the backseat in my own life and just watching life pass me by, waiting for that golden opportunity when I can take action even in little things right now.

I went to sleep last night feeling very blessed, and I will be holding the day very close to my heart.

That's all for now,
Shelby

Gilmore Girls!

Gilmore Girls!
As you all know, this is my favorite show of all time. But, every now and then it'll hit me just why I love it so much. Sometimes I'll see a certain scene and it deals with what I'm going through or they say something that I needed to hear at the perfect moment. That happened today! Its been a tough morning and sometimes when you can't be near your friends, the Gilmore Girls will give you just the company you need. I pulled out my Gilmore Girls Companion book and started daydreaming of how I so wish that I could've worked on this show or even as just an extra in the background. Amy Sherman-Palladino was a genius when it came to this show. She's witty, charismatic, very referenced when it comes to pop culture and all of those qualities come through in the characters. There's a little bit of her in each person, I believe. I was extremely sad that her and her husband weren't able to work something out with WB for the last season, because they would have given it the send off the show deserved.
Stars Hollow, CT represents all of those people in small towns that you wish you could know. To be able to walk into Luke's Diner and everyone knows you. The town meetings. Doose's Market. It's so charming; who wouldn't want to live there? It has you longing for a place you've never been. That was Amy's intention all along. The Gilmore Girls been there with me since about 6th grade...it feels like they helped me through those teen years and all the drama of high school. Whenever I was down, I'd pop in my favorite disc and be fine. This afternoon, I jotted down all of my favorite episodes from each season, and wanted to try to do a top ten list. However, as I sit here, trying to narrow it down that seems next to impossible. There are so many great episodes depending on the topic and the couple, so bear with me as I try this.

  1. Kiss And Tell: Ah, Rory and Dean's first kiss. Need I say more?
  2. Rory's Dance: When Rory and Dean go to her school dance. Tristan (played by Chad Michael Murray) is extremely jealous of the fact that Rory brought someone and turned him down. Him and Dean get into a semi-fight and Dean shows his protective fight. This is also the night that he and Rory become "official."
  3. Star Crossed Lovers and Other Strangers: Rory and Dean's three month anniversary. He tells her he loves her, she says nothing...they break up.
  4. Love, Daisies, and Troubadours: Rory finally tells Dean that she loves him and all is right with the world again.
  5. Road Trip To Harvard: After Lorelai has just called off her engagement with Max Medina, she spontaneously decides to take a road trip. Her and Rory pack up the car and just drive. I love everything this episode represents; just discovering something new, and that sometimes it's nice not to have an agenda.
  6. The Bracebridge Dinner: A lovely idea that Lorelai and Sookie put together for their inn. The snow is falling, all of their friends in town end up coming together, and it's really magical. This is the first time we start to realize that there might be a little more sparking between Rory and Jess than just a budding friendship. What I don't understand is when they do horse drawn carriage rides...Clara (Dean's sister) claims him and Rory isn't invited, practically pushing her into the arms of Jess, even though there's plenty of room for three. If Dean was so worried that Jess could swoop in, I would think he would've asked her to go with them or tell Clara to wait.
  7. A Tisket, A Tasket: This is the first time we've really seen Dean's jealous side when Jess comes into the picture. Part of me is annoyed with him for acting like that, and the other half of me knows he's just trying to protect her. Jess was bad news all along. Plus, I love the idea of that "special someone" bidding on a basket and having lunch with him. They always had the best town events.
  8. I Can't Get Started: A lot is established in this episode. Obviously, that Rory has to make up her mind about plans for the summer...and will it be Dean or Jess? What I can't get over is when SHE kisses Jess and tells him not to say anything. I was really not happy with her.
  9. Lazy Hazy Crazy Days: Rory comes back from her summer trip to Washington D.C. and is still flakey with her relationship with Dean. All she can think about is impressing Jess from the moment she gets into to town. However, by the end of the episode she sets things straight that she's going to make it work with Dean because she loves him. Oh, how she messed with everyone's emotions that season.
  10. They Shoot Gilmore's Don't They?: The dance marathon. Another concept that I truly enjoyed as far as town gatherings go. But, the entire time Rory keeps paying attention to Jess and the girl he brought. By the end of the night, Dean has had enough of it and breaks up with Rory in front of everyone. Was that the way to do it? Probably not. But, I can't say that I blame him. She didn't appreciate what she had with him. I just wish he would've talked to her about "the crush" she had on Jess and maybe none of that would've ever happened.
  11. A Deep Fried Korean Thanksgiving: I just love everything about it. Every Thanksgiving I watch this episode and wish I had so many different gatherings to go through.
  12. Chicken or Beef: Dean's wedding...and it's not to Rory. Who saw that one coming? I actually didn't. He jumped into a relationship with Lindsay way too soon, when he still clearly had feelings for Rory. Rory has an awkward run in with him at Kim's Antiques as they're setting up the town for the wedding the next day. He invites her to come and she doesn't know what else to say and agrees to it. Dean still had feelings for Rory,  which he admits to Luke at his bachelor party. His drunken speech about her actually kind of breaks my heart, "why didn't she love me?"
  13. The Incredible Sinking Lorelai's: Rory and Lorelai have always been super close, but when Rory goes away to college, it makes their relationship a little bit harder. Anway, they keep missing each other in the midst of all the chaos they're surrounded by...and they end up turning to the guys that are always there for them. Dean and Luke. It's a really sweet moment for Luke and Lorelai, because you get to see them have a more serious personal moment. And for Dean and Rory, you realize that he'll always care about her no matter what.
  14. Raincoats and Recipes: This episode is quite filled with intrigue! It's the opening of The Dragonfly Inn. Rory and Dean exchange a few glances with each other, Dean thinks she's seeing Jess again which makes him mad, and they almost kiss in the Inn while he's working. Lorelai and Luke are "dating", but Luke hears that she might still be with Jason, which makes him a little insecure. Luke pretty much pours his heart out to Lorelai and they kiss, while Kirk runs past them naked because of night terrors. That's not where the fun stops, though, folks! Lorelai runs home to get something and to inform Rory of what just happened when Dean and Rory stumble out of her room in a panicked state, because they had just finished the deed. Lorelai is not happy with Rory because Dean is a married man and Rory doesn't understand why Lorelai isn't celebrating with her because she dated Dean first...and Dean wasn't happy. They end with Rory sobbing on the front porch and Lorelai walks out to try to talk to her.
  15. The Party's Over: I'm just going to sum up all of season five with this episode basically. Dean turned into hillbilly farm boy that just wasn't good enough for Rory, and they were fading quickly. Rory's grandparents throw her a party at their house with all of Yale Alumni and their sons to try to hook Rory up without actually saying it. Dean shows up to their house for a date, and Rory stumbles out with several new guy friends. It hits Dean that they are from two totally different worlds and don't belong together, and drives off in his truck. Part of me wishes they would've done something different with his leaving; they were together for so long and so in love...and then, all of a sudden, that's just it. I'm sorry, I think I'm still just bitter because I always wanted to see a Dean/Rory wedding. And the grandparent's were always butting their way into relationships where they didn't belong. See next episode with Luke and Lorelai.
  16. The Perfect Dress: This episode is just wonderful for a slew of reasons. One, it finally hits that Luke and Lorelai are getting married. She finds the dress, the flowers, the chapel, and they set the date...June 3rd. Everything is coming along so nicely, but that seems to bother Lorelai, because it's not supposed to be that easy is it??
  17. Friday Night's Alright For Fighting: The scene at dinner with the grandparents, Rory, and Lorelai is just epic. I love the camera angles they use, the impersonations, and it's some of the wittiest/quickest dialogue they've ever had. I so would've liked to have been there for the filming of that scene if nothing else ever.
  18. Super Cool Party People: This is the first time Lorelai actually comes into contact with Luke's daughter, April. She helps out with April's birthday, because that is not Luke's area of expertise. However, once Anna (April's mom) catches wind of the fact that that happened, she is NOT happy and asks that Lorelai not really come around April anymore. Which is extremely dumb! And Luke ends up pushing Lorelai even more...like postponing the wedding wasn't enough?
  19. Partings: Oh, how this episode breaks my heart. And those moments just kept coming for me with Luke and Lorelai in season 7. This is when Lorelai gives Luke an ultimatum. She said she's tried to be patient with April and everything going on, but it's now or never. And the two basically just walk away....But instead of just going home and watching The Godfather, Lorelai sleeps with Rory's dad, Christopher. It's all downhill from there.
  20. The Long Morrow: This episode will always hold a special place in my heart, because I was actually on the Warner Brothers lot the day they filmed this, or at least the scene when Kirk crashes into Luke's Diner because of the new red-light camera that is installed. I didn't get to see anything or anyone, but it was weird seeing Luke's without glass in the window. The ending of this episode is great, yet extremely saddening at the same time, when Lorelai blurts out to Luke that she slept with Christopher. That pretty much set the tone for the rest of the season.
  21. Hay Bale Maze: Once again, Stars Hollow has another crazy event, and this time it's a hay bale maze that takes up the entire town square. While trying to find her way out, Lorelai stumbles into Luke and they have a nice little talk about everything that happened between them. It might not be exactly what we'd always dreamed of, but it was getting them back on track to who they used to be.
  22. It's Just Like Riding A Bike: Lorelai's jeep that she has had for years and years goes out, therefore, she needs a new car. Luke ends up helping her with it, by going to the dealership. Pretty soon, they're going back and forth with each other and picking on each other, like the days when they were friends.
  23. Bon Voyage: Honestly, this was not the last episode I would have envisioned for a TV show that left such an impact on the WB/CW. There were a lot of story lines still left up in the air, and the entire last season it felt like the characters were doing things that they wouldn't usually do.
As far as favorite moments, I could go on for days about that! I was going to post some pictures of the mall from the episode in season four, "Scene In A Mall", but I can't seem to find them on my hard drive :( If I find them, I'll be sure to post it.  I'm making it my goal in life to visit all of the filming locations for Gilmore Girls, and so far I've been to/seen all of the main ones at Warner Brothers, but it's the more obscure ones around LA that I haven't made it to yet. But, one day SOON, I will.

Gilmore Girls Scene

As I watching Gilmore Girls the other day, there was a scene that really struck a chord with me this time. I had seen the episode a few several thousand times but it didn't mean to me what it did this time.

LORELAI: What’s going on between you two?

SOOKIE: I asked him if he’d like to have dinner sometime.

LORELAI: I know - weeks ago.

SOOKIE: And he said yes.

LORELAI: Which is good.

SOOKIE: But since there’s not definite plan or date attached, now the invitation is just out there floating in the universe.

LORELAI: So make a definite plan.

SOOKIE: I can’t.

LORELAI: Why?

SOOKIE: Because what if he says no?

LORELAI: He already said yes.

SOOKIE: Yes to the amorphous, theoretical, 'Let’s maybe sometime go out and do something not too specific' proposition. But dinner and a movie - it’s concrete. It’s real, he might say no.

LORELAI: I doubt he will.

SOOKIE: Well why hasn’t he asked me?

LORELAI: I don’t know, maybe he thinks you’ve changed your mind since you asked.

SOOKIE: Well why would he think that?

LORELAI: Because you haven’t mentioned it again.

SOOKIE: But I mentioned it once, it’s his turn.

LORELAI: Alright, let’s say it is his turn, you can spend a lot of time sitting around waiting for him to realize it’s his turn, or you can just run with the wolves and make it your turn again.

SOOKIE: I don’t want it to be my turn again.

LORELAI: You just wanna let this opportunity pass?

SOOKIE: I wanna be the girl.

LORELAI: You are the girl. That’s why we’re having this very confusing conversation.

SOOKIE: You think I should ask him out?

LORELAI: On Sunday.

SOOKIE: Why Sunday?

LORELAI: Because that’s your day off.

SOOKIE: Ok.

LORELAI: Now.

SOOKIE: What?

LORELAI: I think you should do it now before you lose your nerve.

SOOKIE: Well he’s not back to his office yet.

LORELAI: Does he have a cell phone?

SOOKIE: Yes.

LORELAI: You know people buy cell phones for exactly this reason - so you could get a hold of them anytime you want. SOOKIE: I thought people bought cell phones in case their cars broke down at night and they needed to call someone for help and there’s psycho killers -

LORELAI: Call him.

SOOKIE: Call him?

LORELAI: Call him Sookie.

SOOKIE: Call him [giggles]

[They go over to the phone]

LORELAI: Mmm, she knows his number by heart.

SOOKIE: He is my produce guy.

LORELAI: Very convenient excuse.

SOOKIE: He - [into the phone] Oh Jackson? It’s Sookie. [picks up a wooden spoon and plays with it in her hair] I was wondering if you could call me back when you get a chance, sooner rather than later, it’s not an emergency so don’t freak out or anything. The carrots still look good. It seems like it’s almost a shame to eat them, sort of like you should put them in a vase or -

LORELAI: [whispers] Sookie, hang up. Hang up.

SOOKIE: Call me, bye. [giggles] Got his voice mail.

LORELAI: Ok good. It give you time to prepare what you’re going to say. Maybe have a few suggestions ready of places to go.

SOOKIE: Date prep time.

LORELAI: Yes.

SOOKIE: Ok good. I’m good at that. I’m good at prep. [picks up a pad of paper]

LORELAI: Sookie……spoon. [takes spoon away.]

SOOKIE: Right.

To me, this scene says it all. The girls are always afraid to make the "first move" because that's supposed to be the guys job. At least as far as society is concerned. But, then I've heard all sorts of stories about how the guy was nervous and was afraid of being rejected so he didn't say anything, even when the girl felt the same way. Feelings and words went left unsaid and nothing ever happened. I think if you feel something pretty strongly, you should go for it. Who cares if you're the girl trying to talk to the guy or if you're a guy worried she might say no? Wouldn't you rather know for sure that wonder the rest of your life what could've happened 'if only...'?
_______________________________________________________________________________________________

(Later)

SOOKIE: Oh thank you. [to Lorelai] I should cancel.

LORELAI: Ok, let’s do you lips first.

SOOKIE: What if I’m making an idiot out of myself.

LORELAI: By going out on a date?

SOOKIE: With my produce guy.

LORELAI: You like him.

SOOKIE: But what if tonight is a disaster and them he won’t sell to me anymore.

LORELAI: Oh my God, you’re right.

SOOKIE: Yes, see!

LORELAI: And since all the produce in the entire world is in his possession and all the produce that will be grown in the future will be in his possession, then we will never again be able to get any produce and all our vegetarian clients will die.

SOOKIE: I’m scared.

LORELAI: I know.

SOOKIE: I like him.

LORELAI: He likes you.

SOOKIE: How do you know he’s not being polite?

LORELAI: Sookie!

SOOKIE: No I mean it. [gets up and paces] It’s like I cornered him and he felt trapped and he had to say yes.

LORELAI: He did not have to say yes.

SOOKIE: Oh my God. Technically I am his employer.

LORELAI: Sookie!

SOOKIE: I am, I buy his wares. His livelihood depends on my.

LORELAI: Sookie!

SOOKIE: Oh! I’m a sexual harasser

LORELAI: Well then you need some false eyelashes.

SOOKIE: This isn’t funny. I am now desperate, lonely and a criminal.

LORELAI: Ok, stop talking.

SOOKIE: But -

LORELAI: No you have exhauster all you talking rights by being crazy. Sit down and listen.

[Sookie sits]

LORELAI: Tonight is a good thing. Whether you find out that you’re madly in love you or you’re not meant for each other, it’s still a good thing. And I’ll be right there. And have I done a gorgeous job on your face or what? Ooh, I’ll be right back [picking up clips]

Here, I love Lorelai's advice to Sookie; one way or another Sookie will find out if her and Jackson should continue their relationship or if they were never meant to be at all. It's a good thing either way, and sometimes we just freak ourselves out so much, when we could just dive in and see what happens.
