"I have fought the good fight, I finished the race, I have kept the faith."
2 Timothy 4:7
There are some things in life that are worth fighting for: God, friends, family, what is right, things that are important to you and things that you believe in, etc. I'm finding that the list is getting very small in my book because sometimes I'm the only one fighting.
There are certain relationships that are worth getting back and fighting to the very core for. And then there are others, that after several occasions of nothing changing, you just have to let it go. I found that out today. All things aren't meant to last forever. Certain people and events take place in our lives in seasons for a certain reason, sometimes so others can form or better things can come along.
We aren't meant to live miserable lives. God takes on the burdens for us; that's why He sent His son to the earth to die for us. He wants us to live free of our mistakes, hurts and whatever else is holding us back. We weren't meant to carry them on our own.
So, if there's something that's really weighing you down and sucking all of the joy out of your life, take a step back and look at your life. Are there people you need to get rid of or things you need to stop doing? Fight for things that are worth fighting for, but if it's petty crap that just tires you out and makes you feel exhausted after thinking and talking about it...Give it to God and don't look back. That's exactly what I need to do. Because the rest just isn't worth it anymore.
That's all for now,
Shelby <3
